I believe that therapy should be affordable and accessible so I therefore offer a limited number of appointments at reduced rates (based on need).

Mind/Body psychotherapy combines talking through your life stories with noticing how your feelings show up in your body. For example, we might bring your attention to an area of discomfort, or notice how you’re breathing.

That way, you get to experience your feelings in your body as well as express them in words, providing you with a more complete picture of your emotions.

This holistic process creates a profoundly therapeutic space, where you can safely explore your emotions, learn to trust yourself, and achieve more clarity and calm.

In short, it means I don’t teach you how to act differently. Instead, I work with you to access and release the root causes of your issues through your body sensations, thoughts and guided imagery. All stuff from inside.

People get triggered by someone/something/someplace and pretty powerful feelings can arise. Some of them may surprise you and some of them you may be used to. This is quite true for people who have experienced trauma and/or tough stuff in their younger years. The coping mechanisms and beliefs, about ourselves and others, that were once helpful, may not be anymore.

True healing comes from working through the root issues that lurk beneath so you can show up in your life and relationships from a place of strength and authenticity.

Somatic counseling is designed to help people clear their minds and connect to their bodies. The body has a lot to ‘say’ and it speaks to us in sensations. The information that we can get from the body is invaluable when it comes to healing and growth.

Sessions are usually once per week as this allows for the work to move along at a good pace.

I do not see couples or children. However, if it becomes relevant to bring in a significant person to one of our sessions, together we may decide to do that.

I’m glad you asked! The right fit is very important and I want you to feel comfortable with me. Reaching out for a free 30 minute consultation is a great start. Once we get talking, you will get a better sense of my personality and style. Then we can go from there!
