About Me

Hello, My Name Is

Aviva Meshwork

I know from personal experience that relationships can be complicated and complex.

I started my career as an elementary school teacher, and then, after moving to Israel, transitioned into working with 18 year olds in seminary. The threads that ran throughout my professional life are the deep connections I formed with students, parents, and faculty.

Working with young adults reminded me that becoming – and being – an adult is awesome and rough, all at once. I focused on helping my students to overcome anxiety and feelings of overwhelm, and to increase their self-awareness, clarity, and calm.

The Way I Work

I meet you where you are and we go from there. Therapy is paced and gentle while I help you get to the root of your stuff. You will always feel like you are with someone safe and non-clinical, someone who is happy to see you and who believes in you.

I use my counseling skills, somatic training and intuition to help guide you towards your own well-being so that you can experience long-lasting feelings of joy, freedom, and contentment.

I believe that therapy is not a one size fits all type of thing. Since you are the expert in your own life, I take my cues from you and our sessions will reflect that.

We are partners in this together.
